Remember Who Your Client Is: Why Open Doors and Predictable Hours Still Matter

When you have an urgent question or need to update a policy, you shouldn't have to rearrange your entire day just to get an answer.

If I've said it once, I've thought it a hundred times while looking up business hours or trying to run errands during a busy week:

"Has this business forgotten who their customers actually are?"

Over the last few years, a frustrating trend has taken hold across the service industry. Businesses are quietly cutting back accessibility. Saturday appointments have vanished. Offices are closed entirely on Fridays. Doors are locked tight between noon and 1:00 PM for lunch, and good luck finding someone available after 4:30 or 5:00 PM.

It raises an obvious question: If you only operate when your clients are also at work, how are they supposed to do business with you?

Can a business really afford to alienate 20% or more of its client base by making itself unavailable? We don't think so, and that's why we take a very different approach.

When Business Convenience Overtakes Customer Service

Most people work traditional daytime schedules. They have jobs, commutes, family commitments, and errands to juggle. When a professional service provider restricts its hours to a narrow window, they place the burden entirely on the client:

  • The Lunchtime Lockout: The middle of the day is often the only window working individuals have to make personal calls, drop off paperwork, or ask a question. Finding a "Closed for Lunch" sign on the front door defeats the purpose.

  • The 5:00 PM Rush: If an office closes the minute the standard workday ends, clients are forced to take time off work or rush through traffic just to make a routine inquiry.

  • The Shrinking Workweek: Cutting back to four-day workweeks or eliminating client-facing availability may benefit internal schedules, but it leaves customers stranded when urgent matters arise.

Insurance isn't a theoretical product; it protects your home, your vehicles, your business, and your family. When you have an urgent question or need to update a policy, you shouldn't have to rearrange your entire day just to get an answer.

Our Commitment: A Dependable, Customer-First Schedule

We still firmly believe that an insurance agency is, at its core, a customer-facing business.

You shouldn't have to guess whether someone will be here to answer the phone or greet you at the counter. That's why we maintain a predictable, reliable schedule designed around the real lives of our clients:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM: We open early and stay open past 5:00 PM, giving you time to stop in or call after your own workday wraps up.

  • Open Through the Lunch Hour: We do not lock our doors from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. If your lunch break is the only free time you have all day, our doors are open and ready for you.

  • Real People, Real Office: You aren't dealing with a remote team three time zones away. We live and work in the same community you do.

Pushing Phone Prompts vs. Pushing Open the Door

National insurance companies love to advertise "24/7 customer service." But anyone who has tried calling a corporate 1-800 number after hours knows what that usually looks like:

The Dreaded Phone Auto-attendent

"Press 1 for policy changes. Press 4 for billing. Please listen closely, as our menu options have changed. Your estimated wait time is 28 minutes..."

Yes, those corporate contact points exist, but navigating endless automated prompts when you need immediate help is exhausting.

Here, you don't have to fight through a phone menu just to reach a human being.

All you have to do is PUSH on our front door.

We're Here When You Need Us

Technology has made many parts of our lives easier, but it will never replace the peace of mind that comes from walking into a local office, sitting across a desk, and talking to someone who knows your name and understands your community.

We haven't forgotten who our clients are. You are the reason we open our doors every morning, and we intend to keep those doors wide open.

Whether you need to review your coverage, drop off a document on your lunch break, or simply ask a quick question on your drive home from work, stop by and see us, we're always glad to help.
